This guide was originally suggested by an end-user who tried and tested it against their Canon Megatank G3200 and we’ve since found that it works with most current G1000 to G4000 series Megatank models.

Instructions:​

1. Turn off Printer.

2. PUT PRINTER IN SERVICE MODE:​

   1. Hold STOP button down then press and hold the POWER button
   2. Release the STOP Button
   3. Press STOP 5 times
   4. Release the POWER button
      (Wait for green stable green light)
      
      The printer should now be in service mode.

3. PRINT PRINTER INFO BEFORE RESET:​

   1. Press STOP 3 times
   2. Press POWER 1 time
      (wait – printer should print full page, second line D= should be greater than zero)

4. RESET INK COUNTER:​

   1. Press STOP 5 times
   2. Press POWER 1 time
      (wait – Printer should print 1 Line)

5. PRINT PRINTER INFO AFTER RESET:​

   1. Press STOP 3 times
   2. Press POWER 1 time
      (wait – printer should print full page, second line D= should be zero)
   3. Press POWER 1 time
