SMD Components on Laptop Motherboards

There are two types of components:

conventional components and SMD or micro components. Additionally, the characteristics are separated into active and passive parts. A sort of electronic component known as a "active component" may amplify and direct electrical signals, change energy from one form to another, and requires an electric current to function in an electronic circuit (transistors and IC diodes). Electronic parts known as "passive components" don't require electricity to function, thus they can't enhance or correct electrical impulses or change the form of energy (resistor, capacitor, etc).

FUSE:

In the event of a short circuit, this component acts as circuit protection, The fuse will be broken when there is a short circuit. This component on the DC IN circuit is what causes the laptop to completely shut down on older computers. In the image on the left side, you can see how the component is shaped. The green ones are typically present in circuit LVDS, CRT, and LED screens.

here is how to check the fuse: https://laptechinfo.com/threads/fuse.2981/

Resistor:

The laptop motherboard's SMD or tiny component resistor acts as a resistance; if its value is 0 to 00, the resistor also acts as a Jumper fuse

On laptop motherboards, this resistor is typically green and black, as shown in the example image. Frequently seen in charging circuits and power jack or DC jack The resistor, in particular, serves as a resistance. Its use in circuit electronics, though. Generally speaking, this component's function is complex and depends on where it is located on a circuit. In a laptop motherboard circuit, a resistor typically performs the functions of resistance, voltage divider, comparator, Pull-up, safety, jumper, and current limiter. The resistance of a resistor to the circuit and its resistance value are both present.

A lice resistor is one sort of resistor whose function, which depends on the circuit's structure, is quite complex and which is used in great quantities in laptop motherboard circuits. The Lice resistor is practically always present in motherboard circuit designs. Here, the code is what is important, not the form. R (resistor) is absent because other components have the same colour and small shape, but L (inductor).

Resistance is another name for resistors. I'll talk about it briefly; for more higher levels, please grasp resistors, the OHM law, and how to calculate resistance to current and load in greater detail.

The characteristics of this component, particularly in the input circuit, will cause the current and voltage to break or alter in value if broken, as well as other issues if the resistors break and prevent the input from flowing to the system/IC. Nearly all of the traits of laptop damage are present in the harm this lice resistor does (no charging, totally died, no display, etc).

Characteristics of Resistors in the circuit:

SMD networks allow many resistors with the same resistance value to be packaged or assembled as a single component. In the keyboard path, we frequently run into this kind of resistor. With the exception of motherboard output with keyboard error issues from the 2000s, this component is hardly ever destroyed.

Resistor as Resistance:

A lice resistor is a resistor that serves as a current or resistance limiter. Up to 70% of the resistor on the laptop motherboard is employed as a resistance on the positive input Vin line.

If this component's characteristic is broken, the voltage will be broken. The resulting output value will not be appropriate and will have an effect on the error circuit or circuit issue if the resistance value changes or does not meet the advice on the circuit diagram (resistance value increased).
